(SEASIDE, Calif.) – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County (BGCMC) is proud to host Scott’s Pitch Hit & Run on Saturday, May 13, from 3-5 p.m. The event, an official skills competition for the Major Leagues, will be held at David Cutino Park. Pre-registration is now available.
Scott’s Pitch Hit & Run is designed to give youth a chance to participate, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes excellence in the basic skills of baseball and softball. Boys and girls are divided into four age divisions: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14.
Participants can advance through four levels of competition, which includes Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals during the 2018 MLB All Star Week. Individual pitching, hitting, and running champions, as well as the All-Around Champion in each division age group at the local competition, will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of competition.
Participants are asked to provide a copy of their birth certificate and have their parent or guardian fill out a registration and waiver form prior to the start of the event.
