On November 30, 2024, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County hosted its 3rd Annual Alumni Reunion, gathering guests to the Seaside Clubhouse for an afternoon filled with laughter, connection, and celebration. The event created a warm atmosphere as alumni, friends, families, Club members, and staff gathered to share memories, enjoy a delicious lunch, and engage in fun games and activities.One of the highlights of the afternoon was a special award presentation by BGCMC President & CEO, Ron Johnson, who honored former Boys & Girls Club staff member ML Carter with the prestigious Luis Perez Community Service Award. This recognition celebrated Carter’s dedication and years of service to both the community and the youth whose lives he has positively impacted. Adding to the event’s significance, Seaside Mayor Ian Oglesby was in attendance and delivered a heartfelt speech about the profound impact of the Boys & Girls Club on the local community. His words resonated with attendees, reinforcing the Club’s role as a beacon of support, mentorship, and opportunity for countless young people.
