Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands (GHGH) gives girls a voice in shaping their future and an agenda for change.
The Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands (GHGH) program, founded by the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County, provides girls, ages 11-18, with leadership opportunities to refine their skills rooted in resilience, compassion, and the ability to live their life as their authentic selves. Through GHGH, hundreds of girls throughout Monterey County will have access to more comprehensive and integrated health information, develop powerful leadership skills, and help influence positive changes at their schools and in their communities.
Girls Leadership Network (GLN)
The Girls Leadership Network (GLN), an essential leadership and advocacy program within Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands, is a girl-led community activist group in which each nominee represents their respective school and community (and/or partnering agencies) throughout the year.
Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands Summit
The Girls’ Health in Girls’ Hands Summit is an annual summit is an all day-event for girls, created by girls! The summit consists of positive workshops, building girls’ confidence by learning new skills and participating in fun physical activities. The GHGH Summit provides a day for girls from all over Monterey County between 11-18 years old to come together, learn from each other, take action on community change they want to see, and participate in self-care activities.
